Dyrebare Reference and RP Tracker

WHY are these things so CUTE?! I couldn't resist making one (or...six, actually?) But hey, with such an adorable creature, who can't make one?

▋Name: Dyrebare (pronounced "Deer-Bahr) Which means "precious". Her nickname, of course, is Dear. C:

▋Age: I'm not sure about Finnedyr growth timelines, but in human years she'd be about seventeen.

▋Necklace: A GIANT, blue, cut gem.

▋Description: A very pale complextion, soft pale gray eyes, a small/petite build with a small dual dorsal fin, and very large ears.

▋Personality: Quiet, and noncomfrontational. Dear would rather take the blame, roll over in a fight, or hide away than argue EVER. Even for good reasons. Nope. She's a might mighty coward. She has self worth issues, considering her upbringing (see below) and often downplays herself, placing (or in some cases, desperately pleading for others to) take the spot light. She is, however, very genuine in her love for others and when she compliments you, it's never in a false or empty manner.

▋Abilities: Dear, in her own words, has very little usefulness. She has a knack for finding what's best in others, and loving even the most terrible, grouchy of figures as best she can. She also has a lovely humming voice. (Sing? Perish the thought. Much too attention drawing.)

▋Weaknesses: Being a small finned, dainty build Finnedyr, she's hopelessly tossed about in anything other than the calmest of waters. She has no urge, or ability to fight well, so protecting herself is useless. She often hides behind friends or family if confrontation rises.

▋Likes:
Quiet company (though that doesn't mean she's not up for an adventure!...Sort of...as long as everyone's careful...)
Collecting small, dainty things, such as feathers, small pebbles and shells, and her favorite 'gem', pearls.
Humming quietly to herself.
Learning about other's talents and hobbies.
Bright, colorful fish. She sometimes ventures to the beach in hopes of spotting some.

▋Dislikes:
Aggressive creatures.
Arguing of any sort.
Her necklace (see History).
Being the center of attention.
Strong waves (due to her inability to swim in them).
Her sore back and neck (from dragging a gem the size of her head around all day).


▋History
When Dyrebare was born, her parents were very worried indeed. Such a small, colorless, unattractive little guppy she was. Of course, her parents both loved her deeply, and wished only the best for their little Dear regardless of what cultural standards demanded of a Finnedyr.
So, multible steps were taken to insure Dear's well being in life. She was kept with her mother for quite some time growing up, safely tucked away in their riverside home. She didn't venture out in the least without supervision, and even that was a rare treat. Of course, being unable to explore and search as all Finnedyr were inclined to do, she had yet to find a necklace for herself, and wore only a long black twine. That is, until her father came home with a wondferful (or not so wonderful) surprise. Something to draw some attention, make up for her poor looks and even poorer life skills. A huge, beautiful, riverblue gem. Where he found it, he didn't say. But without hesitation, he attatched it to his quiet daughter's necklance line. "You'll grow into it." He assured her with a smile as she tried to move about the bulk. Even Dyrebare knew that was a slim chance. Nevertheless, she thanked her parents and wore (or dragged) the gem about with her in her home.
Now grown, she has leave to venture from her parent's territory. The timid Finnedyr didn't wander far, and settled withing a day's journey from her parent's dwelling. Even now she wears the gem, pulling it along with her in a dragging sort of way. Her days are short, going out to find food along the shore, which usually consists of little river fishes. (She has developed a taste for crabs, starfish, and tiny fish seeing her inability to swim in anything but shallows and tidepools on her visits to the beach.)
